Default New stuff for 07!

Currently have a 01.5 tiptronic S4. 58,000 miles. Love this car but am hoping ot keep it for awhile. Still have till July for CPO warranty too.

Girlfriend and brother split a Borla Exhaust for me for x-mas! Psyched! Figured I may as well bite the bullet and get a chip as well. Going to order the GIAC chip from AWE this week.

Do I need to get the diverter valves as well??? I was told the 01.5 had better DV's then the earlier 01's already. Any other "must haves" to make sure I do this right....hoses...etc???? AWE still the best spot to buy everything.

Thanks guys! Hope you all had a nice holiday!

Mike

yea, just get the diverters now, and a TBB while your at it. do it now. diverters may not hold up to increased boost, as well as the boot.

Get sound clips, I want to hear. Let me know how that chip works out I am thinking about the same one. And someone please tell me what DV's are worth the money? I mean straight answer, gimmie a brand. Also the TBB where do you get those at?

So a buddy of mine said a new chip by APR is a bit more "streetable" then the GIAC! Man this stuff can be confusing! Anyone experience this first hand or is it talk??

Thanks for the feedback guys. I am definitely going to upgrade the DV and TBB when I do this. I want it done right the first time! I hear it's like driving a new car! I should remember this post cuz the next thing ya know I will be going nuts with suspension, brakes, etc...etc!!! Ha! So much for keepin a stock S4!

honestly, any of the above listed will be good.. they each have their reputations to one aspect or another but i dont think there is a whole lot of truth to it. giac supposedly is the most aggresive but also the harshest.. mtm is the smoothest with best low end torque but softer up top.. apr is in the middle but stresses k03's, and asp in the middle. but i think theyre all virtually the same.. just find the dealer closest to you that way you have their support if you need it.

mtm stage 4 is like normal stage 3. I havent had it on a dyno...yet. But estimates are ranging 400-450 chp.

Nice, why did you decide to go with the mtm set upand also I like the fact that you have lots of power with a stock look.
