New TOP SPEED!!
Friday night around 2 Am took the baby up to around 145ish and then down to 120. Hopefully in a couple of months when the chip is installed I want to get it up to 160mph.
The feeling of doing 140 omg amazing.

My 2000 S4 does 151-152 in both stock and chip mode with an APR ecu. 6th is really geared too low in my opinion. The car is real stable until 130-135 but wind noise and crosswinds become a big issue over that. If you pass anything going that fast it is probably a good idea to keep both hands on the wheel. Regardless of mods, the best acceleration you will get on the highway is between 80-120, after that it seems to slow considerably.
The speedometer on my car is pretty accurate but will sometime read up to 5% high compared to my GPS. M3s governed at 155 will easily read 165 but when actual speed reaches 155, you will hit a cutoff. Lamborghinis can read 10-15% off at super high speeds as well. Just something to consider.
Good luck hitting 160. The cars are really great but keep in mind that it will take a long road with little wind and probably more than a chip to do so in a B5 car, the B6 felt more aerodynamic to me so you might have better luck if that is what you are driving. Over 145, I would estimate that it takes a mile to gain 5 mph in our cars so plan accordingly. Regardless, be safe and keep the V1 on.

When I got to around 145 I had to slow it down because there were a few cars coming ahead and I didn't want some douchebag to just cut me off which is not an unlikely thing where I live.
I didn't really know about the speedometer not being accurate so thats def going to be something to keep in mind next time.

I agree with what MrEDs4 said... I have done some modding to my 04' A4 1.8T and have reached 137mph, but you will need a good bit of open road... I have Goodyear F1 GS-D3's 235/40/18 on my car and it handles very well even at higher speeds, but doing damn near 140mph's is something else... I still had about 1200-1500rpms left before redline as well, but didn't have the room to go any faster, plus I don't really feel like abusing my baby... I'm getting a new turbo installed next week! Can't wait!...
