Default new wheels or new exhaust??

okay so both are the same price..i could get a catback and get a little power..little more noise...orrr for the same price get some new wheels, look a little cooler, buuttt might need to spend the extra for wheel spacers since they are a 42 offset which im thinkin will rub the brakes. the wheels are a 17x7 silver 6spoke tsw wheel with a thick lip and im thinkin of just gettin an ssac and just running the catback since i dont have the patients to remove the down pipes. im worried about fittment issues that i've heard about. i have a buddy who can weld exhaust hangers if they're in the wrong place but misbent pipes are a different story...suggestions? im broke when it comes to my audi since i have a second car that im restoring so that takes priority when it comes to new parts

normally i would say go with the exhaust, because it would give performance and enhanced sound. but if you need to focus on your other car and just want a quick swap with the rims, then that is the way to go.

if your questioning justification and your exhaust is good just now id go for wheels, that way when the exhaust goes **** up you'll have a gen. reason for upgrading and imo wheels make a bigger change especially if its just a second motor

go with the exhaust. Either get a custom dual 2.25 or dual 2.5" from an exhaust shop near you or get the SSAC wich is pretty much an AWE copy.

I wouldnt bother going from 17" wheels to 17" wheels especially if your stock ride height. Lower it, THEN get some 18" wheels. Otherwise i wouldnt bother. The one exception id have for that is if you were going with SUPER lightweight wheels, then id say 17's

im gonna go to the muffler shop on monday and see what kind of deal they want to hook me up with. if they can keep it under 200 for a catback ill do that, if not ill just get the ssac one. im thinkin you're right sour bout the wheels, i really dont want to lower my car tho cuz its to expensive since i'd have to change not just the springs but shocks stuts and control arms too and while im down there id want to change my tie rod ends too and thats a good 1000+ dollars id rather spend on my other car
