Default No fuel

1995 S6 not getting any fuel. Any idea's? supposedly the fuel pump is working, and this mechanic say its the computer. I dont know if he pulled the tank down and pulled out the pump. Is there anything obvious that i might look for, besides the fuse? Cause a new computer for this is about 2grand, and used i got a price of $975. Also, does anyone know where i might send the computer to have it rebuilt?

ECU;s dont get rebuilt. Have you ran pressure tests at the fuel rail? Checked for a pluged fuel filter? You cant just assume its the ECU till you get the basic tests done.

Default checked

the guy i bought the car from worked at audi, he started his own little car selling buisness. he put his computer on the car and it came up the ecm was not working. i just bought this car on friday. its a 1995 S6 avant. i got a good deal on it. it aint running and i got it towed home. but i will get it running. he had it torn apart, and i could see he opened up the ecm. my guess is he was trying to fix it himself. he is a car dealer, and dont really have the time to fix it, and dont want to sink the money in to a new or used brain. i was told by my sister who owns a garage that there are companies that will rebuild them. i got all the tools needed for anything that got to be done, just need some directions on where to start looking. the computer is used in several cars, S4, S6, and possibly the 100. any help would be appreciated

got fuel now. two sensor wires were crossed. scanned it and came up with a 00513 code. checked those wires and it started pumping after i crossed them. they were the cam and crank sensors down at the flywheel, up on the wireing harness at firewall. mechanic made mistake when he put new sensors in. i had to do alot of reading on alldata, but my sister has the program so it was free. the mechanic must have fried the brain in trying to fix this. so i got a used one on the way. he gave me a good deal on the car, so its ok.

thats sweet about alldata. IMO its one of the best auto tools for cars next to a wrench. But I'm glad to hear you got her running.

spoke to soon. car now gets fuel but no injector pulse. she aint firing. the mechanic had it right after all. the problem was in the engine speed sensor for it not getting the signal to pump fuel. gonna try and put old sensor back in and see what happens.
