Default No Owners manual, questions...

Just bought an 01 S4, six speed, and was driving today and some type of error light came up on the display that shows the radio info (above the mileage diplay). Anyways, it looks like a circle with four little hash's around the edges? Just wondering what this means? Also, how do you change the clock? Im ordering up a manual, just tryin to get this solved now. Thanks

i had that same experience. but mott is right, because he was with me. it's worn brake pads. i suggest getting mintex from ecstuning.com. they don't produce as much brake dust as oem pads. and they're better performance.

sounds good. Are they just like normal disk brake pads to change, or will i need some crazy audi specific tool? =)

Hah, nah, it's just out with the old, in with the new. You MIGHT have some problems with your brake pad wear sensor, I've heard aftermarket pads can set it off randomly... but I'm not sure why. I dunno, you might be ok, just make sure your brakes work.

the only problem you will encounter is one of the top pins i believe. look under the audiworld tech articles. there's a DIY there that will help.

Checked the DIY, seems simple. So, if I order from ECS tuning, I need one set of 4 for each side on the front, so I am assuming the red box comes with 8 total pads? Also, does anyone using aftermarket brakes leave there sensors intact? or do they short them out.

Thanks again!

Fronts are easy. Rear need a special tool to push in the e-brake part of the caliper.

The clock is set by pushing + hold in the ****, then turning it. Each time you push it, it moves to the next section.
