Noob here :( How can I get this car driveable? Unemployed *Cry* 2 payments left
Okay so my check engine light will not stay off on my 88000 mile 01 audi s4. I finally took it to the dealership and I have their printout on the 8000 repair and I was hoping someone could help me.
They say:
L84028 Low Compression on Cyl 2 and Fuel Injector Seal on Cyl 4 CA 2.5h
Performed GFF returning faults P0300, p0302, and P0304 also had faults for Ect Sensor P1296. Checked MVB 15 and 16 returning light misfiring 10-24 per cycle on 2 and 4. Swapped ignition coils between 4 and 5 and 2 and 3. Problem persisted. Found fuel injectors on 4 and 5 both seated incorrectly in rail. Swapped fuel injectors 4 and 5 and 1 and 2 problem cured on bank 2. Problem still evident on bank 1. Swapped power output stages and problem still persisted.
performed compression check on cyl 2 returning 75 psi. Wear limit is 7 bar. Most likely caused by loose valve or sticking value.
Okay guys..I'm like a total noob at cars and now I'm guessing I might as well throw this thing away? Where can I start? Thanks to anyone that read this and will help! I basically just need to be able to drive it
I can barely even afford any repairs right now I figured i'd be good for at least another year with this car.
Thanks again for the help

I am not a mechanic, but i know that if you need to fix your car it is going to cost more than a dollar or two. Fortunately the general rule about repairs at the stealership is that if you dont go there, its not going to be a lot less. It is always hard to think about loosing an S4, but going down .9L to a 1.8T is not thaat big of a difference. just my thoughts towards the costs of owning an audi.

*Bad seals... no pressure. this is a BIG JOB
Performed GFF returning faults P0300, p0302, and P0304 also had faults for Ect Sensor P1296. Checked MVB 15 and 16 returning light misfiring 10-24 per cycle on 2 and 4.
*Constant misfiring... incorrect fuel mixture.... probably due to bad injectors...
Found fuel injectors on 4 and 5 both seated incorrectly in rail. Swapped fuel injectors 4 and 5 and 1 and 2 problem cured on bank 2. Problem still evident on bank 1. Swapped power output stages and problem still persisted.
*Bad injector seating... meaning whoever worked on your car f-ed up. Still misfiring... thats all bad.
