Default Offsets

So, what are the wheel specs to fit a B5 S4? Seems like there is a lot of misinformation on here.

5x112 and 35+offset but im not sure exactly 35 is a guesstimate from what i have heard...

There is a lot that goes into it. You have to clear the strut, & you have to clear the brakes, & clear the fender.

The hard part is the stock brakes, they stick out far, so the wheel will fit, but not clear the brakes. The S4 has the hardest fitment of any modern Audi due to the brake caliper.

So, is there any way to tell when buying used wheels other than if they came off an S4?
Maybe the best bet is to buy new and rely on the vendor to confirm fitment?

Yes, the vendor should know better then us. After all it IS their job. When they say they DON'T fit the S4 but other Audi's it's due to the brakes.
