Oh man I f*d up big
Hey all. I feel like a dumbass, and it's well deserved. This week I tried to cover up a little rock chip with touch-up paint and it looks like crap. The stuff comes out in a big drop and then you have to put the "varnish" over that. Now there's a big bubble on my hood. The little chip was far less noticable. Any way to get the bubble off without screwing up my paint further?
1st of all, when u get the touch up kit from Audi never use the supplied brush (to thick and makes for an average lookin finish), always use the finest brush u can find and ussually u have to thin the paint down too, then apply a couple of layers to fill the chip, then clear
As far as wat u have done now u must rub it back a little to make it even

Alright heres the deal. Get some thinner with a towel, lightly rub the spot with the thinner damped towel in a circular motion. dont rub too hard you dont want to go through to the clear. To touch up paint chips the best method is using a toothpick, you get precise touchup with no mess (make sure you thin out the paint that **** is too thick)

Thanks for the tips. The paint actually came in a pen (more like a marker) with a tip that you press in to make the paint come out. Kinda like the stuff you use for furniture.
I think I'll go to a body shop as I've done enough damage.
I like the suggestion for a whole new hood and stuff - that's funny. The dam car broke the bank and I can barely afford gas let alone any goodies (yet - but reading this forum is making me drool over all the power-adding fun that can be added).
