Opinions on B6 vs B7 S4
I am debating whether to get a B6 (05) or B7(05.5-06) s4 and I cannot decide which one I like the looks of better. The B6 has really nice curves and looks like it was made from one piece of metal the way everything flows. I think I like the b6 tail lights better. The b7 taillights look like honda civic and/or acura mdx tail lights. The B7 on the other hand has the aggressive looking headlights and the new bigger grill, not to say that it's all better just because it is the latest design. Basically all they did was connect the upper and lower grills on the b6, but does look newish whereas the b6 looks slightly oldish just because we know there is something newer out.
I was wondering what everyone else thinks because I like both of them. The both look realy nice in their own ways. It seems that an 05.5 B7 is a little more expensive than an 05 B6, i'm just not sure it's worth it. Either way, i think both will hold their value well being they are s4's and not a4's and that they are fairly rare.
Let me know what you think. I just wanted to get other people's point of view.

If you say they don't hold their value well, what car does? Cars depreciate quickly especially ones that were bought brand new. What would be an example of a performance luxury car that does hold its value?
I agree that the B7 is newer, and therefore generally thought of as "better". Even though the B6 actually has more classic and flowing lines - both in the front and back. So, I guess it is a toss up as to which you prefer or would rather be seen in. Either way, you can't go wrong.
However, on the inside, I believe the B6 steering wheel is far far better looking than the B7 wheel. I hate the way they forced the grill shape onto the wheel and made it bulkier and just plain ugly. The B6 wheel is classic, just perfect.
Afterall, you do spend more time with the steering wheel as opposed to looking at the exterior. At least, you should

I thought they did hold their value better than the average used car since they are rare cars since their production is limited and they are high performance luxury vehicles.

As far as my opinion on the looks, I love my B6 (for some reason though the majority of the people online think of the B6 as the bastard step-child, I don't know why. I get nothing but tons of compliments on my car in person.) I used to not like the B7 just because of the Honda Civic tail lights, but it's grown on me. If it were an Avant, I'd get the B7, if it is a sedan, I'd get the B6. PS I love my Ultrasport steering wheel as well.
S4's are rare? Thats new to me. I guess that depends on where you are in the country. In California, we used to get 20-40 new S4's at the dealer weekly, but we ballers
I personally like the B6 a little better.
