Figured I'd also post a couple of pics of my 05 S4... Just over 1K miles now, and love it!

Question I can't seem to find the answer to reviewing old posts - I want to put a german vanity plate on the front. It looks like the front bumper has an insert that comes off to put a plate in (?). Is this correct, or do I just screw a mounting bracket right onto the bumper (seems a dreadful shame to do) or use sticky tape as previously suggested. Appreciate any suggestions. This site is great, thanks for your help!

nice car. you can use rare earth magnets to mount a front pate. Jest has his setup like that. search for 1st mod i think it was or earth magnets, something should come up

 

That front piece pops out.
But not easily.

You can talk to your parts dept. and get a new piece for mounting a Euro plate.

Then, just have a body shop do the install.

I had to replace that piece when someone backed into me.
I bought the part ($60) and had it painted and installed for $100.
