911 turbo will kill mod S4 on a tight track... better handling. u can reach Turbo on S4 with mods in speed category. handling/cornering is a different story. audi is too much nose heavy.
Okay, how modded are we talking? And once again, what year 911 Turbo are we talking?
Also, keep in mind most 911 Turbos are modified...
I'm a bit disappointed at how some people on this site make statements without supporting facts. I was hoping to see a higher level of education within the S4 community, seeing how it is a true high performance car and most who own it should be true entusiasts who do their homework before believing their car is God sent to the World...

a 2000 Porsche 911 turbo 1/4 mi is 12.4 sec @ 115.6 mph and 0-60 is 3.8 so no a modded s4 will not take a 911 turbo. But yes it would kill a 2005 carrea 4 S which 0-60 is only 4.7 1/4 mi no said. So it would all depend on the porsche u are talking about. Please check ur stats before making post like this. And remeber that a 911 turbo is $111,000 compared to a 2002 s4 with K04 turbos is like $30,000 maybe a little more if u bought it with like no miles.
how many people do u know that take constantly their cars to race tracks? how many of them have proper equipment to put performance into numbers? 0-60 and quarter mile is easy. how do u test G force properly and slalom? stock cars get measured by mags and manufacturers. who tests upgraded cars? there are million mods, which will result in million different numbers. quality of track, weather play a lot in those numbers. quality of gas, skills of driver makes huge difference. so what numbers do you want to see? there was an article in European Car magazine where they tested bunch of mod S4, some of them highly. they had official numbers. but those are specific numbers on specific cars. u never know if you will get same even if you do same mods... check old maggs from either early this year or late last year....
All good points. I think a Porsche would manhandle just about any s4 in the twisties, on the straight it could be a different story. the 1999 carrera 4 does 1/4 in 13.5, according to apg the 2000 does the 1/4 in 12.4, which a modded s4 could certanly handle. We need more info
i love my S4, even stock. i will modify it sooner or later. but if i had a chance to get 996 Porsche 911 Turbo (especialy with manufacture 450HP package), i would sell my soul for it..... Even the picky european magazines named it #1 car in the world. ahead of all the ferraries, lambos, astons... as they said "it is a super car for every day's life". and that is what it is. it is my dream car, for a long time...........

Big deal, We have a guy over on the zine runnings 11.5s with factory vag ko4 turbos, audi oem cltuch and fueling system, stright from audi, so no, i dont belive a 12.4 911 will take a 11.5 sec s4, with audi vag parts on it. Hold up and ill post a vid of what he did to one.
Sorry guys, its a gt2, not a 911, but u still get the idea.... i hope this works..

a 2002 911 turbo weighs in just over 3300, so not only is it lighter, but the rear mounted engine, and ram air spoiler does help the porsche at high speeds, if u didnt kno, that grill on the back of the porsches raises after the car hits 140+ km/h, air is then rammed into the rear mounted engine, also acts like a stablizer...
