Power question
what would be the cheapest, most efficient way to increase horsepower without taking away from the reliability of the engine/turbos? i have a b5 s4 and i do not want to chip it because i have heard doing so will significantly reduce the life of the turbos. anyone have any ideas other than chipping? i dont want to spend more than a couple hundred bucks. also, i am thinking about upgrading the turbos to K04's. it wouldnt be within the near future, but hopefully within the next 1-1.5 years. to do this, do i need to buy the whole turbo kit, or just the turbos themselves? thanks
Go with more conservative software, like Neuspeed.
Properly cool down your turbos after every drive.
Properly warm up before slam on to them.
And oh yeah .... Use some ointment to remove the itch off your right foot.
They should live practically forever.

its not how much power you would gain and it would be small but at least your next move you would get better results, never start at the engine when you know the exhaust cant handle the hp increase (its a backward stroke I know) but you will save in the long run
yeah, maybe i'll just keep it stock for the nest year, i'll be in school in august and i'm not taking it with me, so i guess it wouldnt make sense to spend the money this summer, especially if it will be expensive and i cant enjoy it, thanks for the help
