Default Power Steering Leak

I have an 04 S4 and just discovered that the hose that goes to the resevoiur has a leak. I talked to a mechanic at a dealership and he was talking about $800.00 in labor. Does it really cost that much? I mean has anyone done it before and was just wondering how easy or difficult it may be? Wanna get a better idea on this.

If anyone has any good advice for me I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

It might not be a bad idea to get a second opinion from an independent European car repair facility.
Those cars can be difficult to work on , 15lbs of do do crammed into a 5lb bag!

umm...yes... 800.00 could be normal.... this vehicle is no joke to work on my friend.... most likely the front clip needs to come off to have access to the power steering line... it's that tight in there... if your in socal area i can most likely do the work for you... i've had the front clip off a few times to do a few things... what's funny is i've lost power steering in my b6 s4 too...(not possible to turn with out it, lol!)

...another interesting thing i had to fix on this car is the compressor...did you know it is water cooled!?!?!?!??!?!?!!!!!!!!!.... freakin audi...
