Can some one please tell me the main and likely cause for problems on the S4.... dont wanna buy something that is sat at audi for most of its days

which year are you looking at ?

 

V8 or V6 biturbo model?

 

I was looking at a 2000 maybe 1999, depending on price. Ive test drove a few of them and i love the things to bits. Any probs?

 

check recipts to see if timing belt has been done on higher milages ones jounce body right above front wheel wells listen for creaking front suspension but my but advice would be to take it to the dealer pay them the hour to go all over the car and to check for any problems that might not be visible

 

2000 is the first year they started with the V6 bi turbo, there is no 1999

 

I know it may not be your year, but my '01 S4 Avant is the best car I've ever had, and I've had a few....32k miles, no problems.....LOVE IT

 

I think there are 99 models in Europe.
