Default problems with turn signals

I have a b5 s4 with 93k on it right now, and I have had some problems in the past. My new problem recently is that my turns signals would blink once and it just turns off by itself. What do you think might be the problem?

also another thing I wanted to know is that how do I change the little light bulbs that is right next to the high beam on the b5 s4 head lights.
your comments and advice are greatly appreciated.

You need a new blinker stalk.

Are you in the UK? Are you talking about the "city light"? Other then that there are no other bulbs.
To replace that bulb, you remove the headlamp, remove the plastic cover on the high beam, & pull out the bulb.
