Smile proof the b5 s4 is a special car

I dont normally post threads, but this is just too crazy of a car to ignore. Not in a bad way at all, its my favorite car ive ownerd but this stuff is wierd.

its a 2001.5 black s4 and for the last5 months the ECT sensor has been failing, so I only drive to one spot , turn off my car, and dont start it for at least a hour again. keeping the engine cool always made it happy and start good, and when not i was usually stranded.

so being my lazy self i just got used to driving to one spot and not going anywhere for a while. Then I realized my tabs were 4 months expired! ( long story, again i am very very lazy ) so I just kept driving in hopes that I wouldnt get pulled over for the tabs. I couldnt pass emissions to get new tabs cause of the CEL that the sensor was throwing.

anyway last friday i had some free time from work and went by the dealership to pick up the new sensor. Right when i got back into my car with the new sensor in hand, the cel went away and the car started fine, I even turned it off and on again just to test it. ? Im kinda wierded out now. Next day its still fine, i goto emissions pass it and get my tabs.

This is not the first time my car has "fixed" itself. It just strange it decided to do so at the lot of the dealership.

moral is , this car is awsome, it will fix itself if you just ignore it long enough

Haha maybe it's afraid of the dealer so as soon as it sees you pull into the lot it fixes everything

dood (and i dont use that word, ever)
change the ect anyway! Its sooooooooooo easy to do, theres no reason anyone should go 1 day with ect cels.
btw: im not poking fun. im just saying....give your car a little treat...it sounds like its been VERY good to you.

I have an electric seat that NEVER works for me but every time I take it to the dealer it works for them. It's like there is some weird force field on the dealer lot. I left it with them for days and they finally got it to stop working for them and fixed the problem. Weird stuff man.
