pulsating sound
so it started about a week ago i started driving my 01 s4 and i seemed to notice almost a pulsating sound, almost a weird pitched vibrating that seemed to come from my tires, i noticed that my car pulls to the right and today when i took it on the highway at about 80-85 miles an hour the steering wheel seemed to be vibrating as well as a loud sound, again sounded like it came from the tires. I think it might have to do with the fact that when i sprayed my rims last week i might have put the tires on the wrong side ex, my right front is on my right back? not sure anyone have any idea how to tell if it is the wrong tire? possibly be able to tell because it pulls to the right? any help would be appreciated i want my smooth high speed ride back
It shouldn't really matter what tires are where unless they're directionals. Did you check tire pressure? might be causing it to pull one way or the other. i noticed if i go too long without rotating my tires, i start getting that pulsating sound. Also if you've got soft tires, and your car sits for awhile between drives, it might take a couple miles of driving before your tires loose that "flat spot" on the bottom from sitting... this can cause a little vibration feeling till its worked out. ...?... Good luck.
