Default Question on exhaust system

Sorry, still a newb at this but trying to learn...

So, if I'm understanding this page correctly... http://www.stratmosphere.com/milltek_s4_exhaust_b61.htm

I'm looking at $2000 for the downpipes (tiptronic), another $1300 for the exhaust, plus labor.

A couple of questions:

What does labor usually run for this work?

What does "resonated" mean and why would you want a center muffler?

Help is appreciated.

Default RE: Question on exhaust system

The downpipes are the most expensive part of any audi exhaust. Labor shouldn't be too much for the exhaust. I know on the B5 downpipes are a 5-6 hour job. Not sure on the newer models. The center mufflers cuts down on exhaust noise would be my guess. I personally love having a little noise to my car but to each his own. Should be at least a good 10-30 hp gain on the V8's for an exhaust. Nothing like the turbo models though.
