come on dude, try convincing your insurance company on this logic of yours... or better yet try convincing my buddy that his2004 Ferrari360 Stradale which will only do 12.1 in the 1/4 mile that his car is not a "sports car"...

Nice job on keeping it close...but drivers aside, a c6 zo6 or not will win... unless youre highly highly modified..a 3- wont do it, no offense.

Well i guess you could run close to a c6 non z06... but youd need fueling..they run 12.5..thats fast.

well after the race i came home and looked up some specs and yeah il admit dude must have not been tryin 430hp and half the weight but it was still fun i dont mind to loose a race it lets me know what to mess with... i just cant wait till i go up another stg. then its on.

I didn't say a 12 sec car isn't a sports car. I was addressing the oddity of most sports cars being 11 sec cars now. the standards are higher.

 

our beloved R8 only pulls a 12.8 in the quarter.... and it is definitely considered a sports car... i do agree that the standards have risen... but what doesn't? gas? haha

lol, I agree you will need one hell of an s4 to keep up with a c6 vette.. you would need the fastest of s4's to keep up with a c6 z06 and just wait for the new zr1 gunna be even faster. I believe the z06 puts down 505 to the crank so like 440 to the wheeles prolly and they prolly weigh like 2500 im guessing no idea really. With the s4 at nearly 4000 pounds you would need garrets and everythign else to keep up I would say mid 500 horsepower(to the wheels.). Just an opinion, all i know is there is no substitute for AWD and the great ride quality an audi gives you. I dont know if any of you have ever been in a z06 but they arent really comfortable and they are ridiculously loud, over the top loud I would hate to drive one everyday.

 

Agreed. The C6s are crazy fast, whoever was driving it must not have known what they were doing. An S4 won't hang, even at stage 3, it's still going to be close.

 

That's a corvette for ya, they're not made to be comfy, quiet cars. They are sports cars and that's it!
