What is the best radar detector on the market? K40??

 

Yeah if you have the funds the K40 is amazing. V1's work great too for about a grand less

 

What's a K40? Never heard of it... and better than a V1???

 

I too have been interested in K40 vs V1 comparo...anyone?

 

been reading post of radars on other sites and think the k40 is the best overall!

 

for 1500 i would certainly hope its the best!!!! But on a more reasonable note, the V1 is the best for the money.

 

wow - guess I haven't checking on the prices of K40s in a while....yeah V1 sounds like a go...now to find someone to do a stealth instal!

 

Someone on Audiworld did a custom stealth install in the cup cupholder, shows you step by step how to do it. Looks and fits perfectly. If you want I'll pop you a link.

 

Thatas seems a little ridiculous for a radar detector. THe V1f is bad ***. I have one and now the road is my race track. I found out exactly where the speed limiter is on the way to Vegas and the V1 kept me safe and ticket free.

 

My dad has a k40 system in his RS6. basically it has better range than the V1, two installed detectors one behind your front and one behind your rear bumper. It can detect lazer and has a jammer. I have a V1 in my S4 and comparing thye two i like the k40 better because of the jammer, but both systems give you plenty of warning to slow down. If I were hypothetically on a 1500 budget i'd get the V1 and put the extra grand into mods.
