Dear all, I purchased my 2001 S4 as a CPO with 50,000 miles. I then serviced the car at 62,000 miles which cost me $400 so I presume that was either an intermediate or major. Do I need a major, intermediate, or minor service at 75,000 miles? I do not have the service manual so appreciate your thoughts. Thank you.

i don't think so. i think all you would need is an oil change, but you should be able to do that yourself.

 

do you have any service history?? timing belt and tensioner?? if they have been done then oil and filter would be appropriate and the usual checks

 

i would think you still need the major 60ish k service.. Seems to me youd be paying more for the timing belt.. But yeah, look at the service history and find out what they did.. if they didnt do that..then youre due.. if they did then youre pretty much good.

 

60k miles was a major service from what I understand...they checked everything on my car from head to toe...cost somewhere around the same too. I'm about to hit 75000....I just called my mechanic 2 mins ago...and their actually IS a minor check up at 75000 miles...minor being under $100.
