RS4 Clutch Vs Stock S4 clutch
Hey im pretty new to this forum but im getting very familiar with S4's. I am planning on buying an S4 soon and i'm looking at some mods for it. But my question is what is the real difference between the RS4 clutch and the regular stock S4 clutch. Is the actual clucth pedal harder? Does it affect drivabilty? Does it make it harder to drive in general like around city? And overall what is the true benefit of the RS4 clucth in general? Any responses would be much appreciated. Thanx
Your best bet is to contact the guys at AWE with your questions.

I have the RS4 clutch and cannot really tell the difference in normal driving or actuating characteristics.
Only when driving aggressively is there the difference. On AWE's site they state that it has twice the
clamping force of the stock clutch.

It's good for more power is what it comes down to. I think it is a better launch controll also.
DROP THE CLUTCH!
This took me a little while to figure out. Don't baby this clutch or ride it at all when driving aggresive.
If you ride it while driving aggresive it will just spin and smoke and slip.
A 4 grand rev, put it in 1st and DROP, all four tires spin for a little bit. Repeat that process while making
a turn and see how long you can spin 'em.
I do not have the lightweight flywheel. Some do not recomend it. A heavier flywheel is good for a torque biased
system, like an APR chip or stage 3 setup. If you go with an AWE system or chip, you might want to spend the extra
$700.00.
