i called ecs tuning to order a mass air meter and the guy said i needed the rs4 meter that it would be better and install like the stock one. it obviously doesnt fit like stock. how can i make this thing work without buying some rediculously expensive rs4 airbox and pipe? i could send it back but then ill have to drive with a miss for like 2 more weeks cause they keep messing up my order and not shipping or sending the wrong thing.

 

I'd just send it back and get a Hitachi.

What other mods do you have? I wonder why he would assume that you already had the RS4 accordian tube and airbox.

You can make it work w/ custom tube off the y-pipe with silicone adapters and a cone filter if you really wanted to.
If your really that determined to make it work, I think Autozone sells silicone adapters and tubing.

 

i have a stock s4 maf sitting around... remanufactured... purchased cause mine went out went apr stage 3 shortly after, never even put the maf in.... willing to sell if you don't wanna upgrade..

 

i told him i had apr software and exhaust. he said the rs4 fits in the stock location no other mods. i just wanted a new meter. they sold me on this one saying it was better. i have a weird miss like problem and eventually got a code saying maf. i just waqnt the car to run smooth at wide open. figured i could rig something up with pipe and couplers but dont know if its worth it

 

i know for a fact the rs4 housing is larger then the s4 maf.... i have the rs4 on mine cause it came with the apr kit... the according hose came with and so did the rs4 air box.... i could sell you the air box since i ended up going with an evoms intake

 

how much for the airbox?

 

hows 200 plus shipping sound? i don't know what they go for...
