When I start my car in the morning it starts and idles fine, but when I put it in gear (6 spd) and slowly drive out of the parking lot it runs rough. After driving the car for 500 ft it clears up.
My car is a 2001 s4 with 33K what could be going on?

What do you mean that it idles fine but runs rough for the first 500 ft? That's less than 0.1 mile! What is happening within that short of a distance? We need a better description of the "runs rough".
Does it happen only in the morning or after work (when it's been sitting for hours), too?

 

runs rough? well maybe start the car ahead of time and let the turbos warm up.
