s4 bi turbo or evo 8
thanks for the reply. i am more interested in these cars from a performance stand point. so yes i guess the evo does take the cake there. i dont care at all about image or 16 year old girls. i do like the fact that s4 is more of a sleeper(which is the original reason why i wanted to get it). but i think if you take the rear spoiler off the evo it really tames the looks down quite a bit. i have to say i am in love with the audi luxury though. It really is becomming a hard decision for me. the more i look at each car the more i dont know what i want.
I will modify the s4 if i get it and i am mainly concerned about the longevity of the engine, how much boost it can take, and the air/fuel mixture to prevent detonation. i know i can pick up a mitsubishi 4g63 engine just about anywhere, but i think its much harder and more expensive to find audi parts. any thoughts?

The version of the 4G63 motor in the Evo VIII is different from the one you can "pick up just about anywhere"... The crank/flywheel is reversed (tranny/transfer case mounted on the opposite side). The Evo VIII engine is much more expensive than the classic 4g63 found in DSM's.
my friend just got a Evo 8 its ok. I mean its fast but even with some mods its still not gonna take a s4 with chip, exhuast, bi-pipe and snub mount. That will run 12.9 and the evo 8 is 13.08. And most important is one is an audi and the other is a mitsu. You should also think about the STi if u are gonna look at those. Rember u can get a bi-turbo to sub 12 sec 1/4mi. I dont thik u could get an evo 8 past that. look at this site it has time slips and what the mods for it was.
