I took my S4 in a couple weeks ago to have it looked at for an air hose leak. When I took it in i talked to them about chipping it and they said that if i wanted to chip it I should probably get new turbos. My S4 is a 2001.5 and has 112,000 miles on it. Am i really going to have to replace the turbos or do you think it will be fine if i chip it and leave the turbos alone?
thanks for the input

RE: S4 chip
Only replace them if they die on you. With a chip, they will be put to the test much more so than before, but how much also depends on how you drive. I'd budget in getting new turbos to be safe.

RE: S4 chip
Why would you replace them before they go bad...unless of course your going K04's

RE: S4 chip
Read the FAQ, short answer, chip it, & deal with the turbo's failing, when they fail!

RE: S4 chip
don't chip it unless you know you'll have the money to replace them in the next couple months in case they start to go
