Sweed i think im kinda in the same boat as you. Borla is great fun but I really want to go with ASP's true dual with stage 3. Ground clearance has been a big issue with me..... Im also looking for somehting a little more mellow in the sound department day to day...

Eventually for me its going to be 3" downpipes, 2 electric cutouts, and ASP true dual.

i wondered if anyone want to discuss the exhaust systems in more detail
like awe, asp, ect... there are so many options an i want toget the right thingsince they are so much $$$

i really need an exhaust i think, since i got my car chipped my car seems like it chokes sometimes
an when im outside the car it doesnt seem like enough air is going out the exhaust if that makes sense

 

Lets be honest the exhaust is probably the least complicated part of your car, one companies bent and welded stainless steel tubing is not THAT much better than another companies.

Um, yeah an exhaust will give you some volume, and you will gain a few HP but where you are (stage 2) an exhaust is not a make or break thing. Youll notice the noise more than the power increase.

For anything up to and including an OTS k04 kit just about any aftermarket cat back will do. FI, Milltek, UUC, AWE, ASP, Borla, True dual, single 3", single 4" whatever it will all suit your needs. When you want the absolute most out of your set up or are going with BIG turbos that need high flowing exhaust then you can worry about slight differences in cross sectional area for a 5hp increase.

Really its up to what company you like, what you think sounds best, how far you plan on going, and what fits your budget.
