Hey everyone! It's my first time posting so I hope this works. I had my headlights stolen from my S4 for the 4th time this yr! This time I went to a different body shop as the other times. I got the car back today and just checked the lights out now that it is dark and they are different. they aren't the regular A4 lights they do seem to have a ignitor like the old ones. However these ones are not nearly as bright and do not have the bluish tint to them, They also seem to be like a Beam coming out. I know they arent the ones I had. If someone can help with how to explain to the body shop the difference, and why they are the wrong ones, your help will be great.... thanks in advance!

 

the bulbs are probably just a different temp than the previous ones....different temp bulbs will give off a different color(white/blue/purp./etc)...

..after the second time your headlamps were stolen, why didn't you just JB weld(glue) those b!tches in? lol..... i would have set some boobie traps too

 

Thanks for the info, hopefully thats all it is!! LOL and thanks for the insight on the boobie traps... I did think about placing razor blades around the corners so when they grab them they slice their fingers off... But I did get them welded this time, and added pinswitches for the alarm behind them and have it wired into my house alarm, so when it goes off I am sure to wake up....(and the baseball bat is places at the door ready to go!)

 

lol... nice....razor blades sound pretty harsh...but if it's the 4th time, phuket! razor!!!! hahahaha.... just fyi, i've got some factory bulbs for sale/cheap if you need em'...check out the classifieds...electrical...

 

Hey I checked out the lights. Thanks so much for the help! I am glad I found this site tonight. I am going to see if I get used to the new lights I have, they arent too bad, but I kind of liked the blue tint in the old ones. Well see what happens. The ones you have for saleare white also right? let me know if you come across any with the higher wattage with the slight blue tint.

 

A bat probably wont phase someone going after your assemblys...Just get a gun. Thats what I have. AR-15 and a Revolver in my room with my S right out my window...Try me! haha

 

They could verywell be the wrong ones. S4's come stock with HID's im pretty sure the A4 did not (hence why people steal S4 headlights not A4). It kinda sounds like the shop put A4 non HID lights in opposed to the HID's...

 

^^ If so maybe they'll leave them alone
