Default S4 Spoiled

You get so used to driving an S4. You begin to think its the "average".
I just got back from a business trip in atlanta where I had 2 different rental cars. It was a shock

Oh my...

I mean I took the first car back (stratus)becuase I thought it was broken. I mean you step on the gas pedal and it barely moves. How are you supposed to merge into traffic with anyless than 250 hp!

So I took it back and they gave me another car.
It had puke in the back but atleast it didnt sound broken. so I took it. SO SLOW.
I was going to be late for my meetings so I kept the puked PT Crusier, but oh how nice to be back with the S4.
I feel like I have been reunited with my legs. I can move, I can cut, I can weave. all with precision and control.

Any way props to the Audi S4. It is NOT average.
Everybody go stretch you 4's legs and feed it some premium and smile. They deserve it.

later

I'm going from 172hp to my parents' minivan and there is a hell of a difference. I can't even imagine going from 300 and something down to a Stratus or whatever!

No, its not that cars that are expected to go slow that get on my nerves, its the cars that look like they might have a little something under the hood and then they just suck. Whenever i take out my moms a6 avant. I just cant believe they make audis that slow!

Its funny - I sometimes start to take the S4 (StIII) power for granted...and sometimes it seems like the car is just not going like it should...then I drive another car - even our BMW 330 (which is a fast car)...but in comparision to the S4 it almost seems slow motion for awhile until I adjust. Its then I realize that I've just gotten used to all the torque and the punch of the S4 and its just put me in a totally nother realm. I took a long trip in August and had a Ford Taurus as a rental....I was majorly bummed every day that I didn't have any of my cars to drive - and particularly the S4 - on all the mountain curves...its why I will drive my car instead of flying any chance I can get (anything less then 10 hours - I drive!)

When I went back to Bulgaria this year, I drove an Opel Tigra (like 90hp)....I so got used to it that I thought it's actually fast, and it actually was, compared to some of the other Russian exotics. When I got back here, the first thing I did was to get in my car and just say "Hello", and drive her for alittle while. That thing seemed like a jet plain, compared to the Opel. Theshifter was shorter, the clutch was stiffer....damn it wasa blast! These were the most awesome 15min. driving that I've had. Siriously, it seemed like a racingcar to me. And then, I just got used to it again. And now, it just seems slow.
