Default S4 Stage II or Stage III?

Hey, whats up. New to this forum but glad I found it! Wanted to know what the pros and cons are for going to '01 S4 manual drive Stage II or Stage III other than power and cost. I've been saving up for a while and can afford a Stage III, but wanted to some feedback from those who are already there. My thoughts are chip tuning, diverter valves, down pipe, exhaust, K04 turbos, front mount IC, injectors, what else? I wanna get it all done but in the right order and not neccesary from the same company if I can save some $. Anyfeedback and assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Well... Its not so much that you really do one or the other.. Theyre like stepping stones... Stage 2 first then so on. Granted you can do it in one shot.. just more costly at one time. So youre real only pros cons are basically power vs price. Do you want to spend extra for that extra power?? One other pro i can think of for stage 3 is...well if done right..... reliability. In my estimation a properly done car is more reliable than stock. Ive had mine for awhile and had pretty much no trouble with it other than routine stuff.. and CELs.. Stage 3 will fix common failure points in a car.... as well as give you better more reliable turbos replacing ones that will at some point die.

I recently upgraded to K04s and have a handful or other mods but I have not upgraded the fuel system yet. I am still running the same ECU program as I did with K03s. If I did upgrade the fuel system and re-program the ECU, would my car be considered stage III?

What constitutes the jump from stage I to II and from II to III?

If you're going to buy a kit go with AWE. Also some things to add onto your list would be flywheel, fuel pump, some new coil overs would be nice, exhaust manifold, cold air intake, engine mounts, clutch kits, and eventually some bigger brakes. Those are some things to keep in mind if you're shooting for stage III.

Stage 1 = ecu
stage 2 = chip and catback exhaust
stage 2+ = chip and turboback exhaust (or exhaust + something like IC's)
stage 3- = all above + aftermarket turbos without fueling
stage 3 = turbos + fueling.
stage 3+ = all above +
