Hi all

i have a s4 v8 2004 model, only just bought it, upon starting from cold there is a funny clunking noise
only for a split second after starting, then it runs as sweet as a nut.
if i turn it off then start again it doesnt make this noise only after it has been left for a bit does it
make it again, whilst running there's nothing worn at all.
just wondered what this might be is it normal, or should i get it to the garage as its still under warrenty

Its the lifters pumping-up. You might even hear the timing chain. Totaly normal cold start-up sounds.
