i took a picture of it near ingolstad.. it looks like s4, but exhaust and all other isn't the same.. is this new a4?

Bit hard to tell what engines in it, all it look like is a B7 A4 with the S-Line body kit - with all there data loging equip in there

Could be just one of there cars that they use for suspension setups & test?

Is that a new colour Audi is going to market - Dusty (re freakin dirty) Black?[sm=happybounce.gif]

 

very hard to tell.thats one dirty car though...

id say b7 a4 with widebody kit. even if it is s-line.. they still arent that flared.

 

b7 a4 with a widebody kit, the front bumper is either based off of the sline bumper or is mimicing it.

 

Just had a 2nd look, that car has go the RS4 side sills on it too (amongst other RS4 things).

Maybe its the series 2 B7 RS4?

 

dont think its rs4 just modified with rs4 things..even an rs4 doesnt have that size of sideskirts...

 

i vote for "or what".

it's definitely a test mule, probably of the new A4, so the RS4 bodywork is just there to keep the running gear covered.

notice how much longer the wheelbase is compared to the current RS4/A4. the front wheels are moved forward so there's alot less space between the front fenderwell and the tail edge of the headlight. this is consistent with the fact that the new A4 is supposed to be less "nose heavy".

 

So what are we saying guys... that this is not a series 2 B7 but a B8 with the 40% drive to front and 60% drive to rear?

 

can't speak for the others but that's what i'd bet my money on

it's consistent with other mules audi has done recently. here's one that's either a 2008 RS4 Avant All-Road (heh) or the upcoming Q5 SUV test mule that's based on the next gen A4/6. notice it too has a longer wheelbase:

So the B8 isnt going to look to diff from the B7 visually?
