no the bodywork will look nothing like the frankenstein B7 bodywork on these cars. pay no attention to them. these mules are for testing the running gear and the powertrain only. they tell us nothing about how the B8 will look other than the fact that they'll carry a stance closer to RWD BMW's with a shorter front overhang and a longer wheelbase.

 

Did anyone notice the first picture where they moved the gas fill door. The rear one is welded shut which is the current location for the 2006 rs4. This means to me that this is a 2008 rs4 test car. Sorry for draging this mule to the ground and beating it to death.

audi is not going to be using extra wide fenders, airdams to test out there base model a4 or s4. This has quattro gmbh written all over it. Large auto companys do not like to spend alot of money in house for parts from other companys even if they are working hand to hand. if they were trying to hide what the fenders are going to look like they would cover them with tape and plastic.

well a sense.. i guess yes. But i wouldnt call it a "rice job". There isnt really anything overly done or serve a purpose or flashy.
