Default S4 Wheel/Tire size question

Could the B6 S4 wheels, (18x8), handle a 255-35-18 tire without rubbing in the front and the back and also not bulge on the wheel? Car is lowered 1.2 and 1.0 in the back.

Sounds too wide to me. I have 245s that rub, but my rim offset is not stock. That low and wide, though, I assume would rub.

The rim width will definitely take a 255 wide tire. Guys have put 275 on an 8.5 but they bulge a lot as you can imagine. Some mustang guy got 295's or something on the stock 8.5s but they looked retarded so the tires will fit for sure.

A 235 fits perfectly and going to a 255 will be too wide. So a 245 might be a good compromise but they will likely be much more expensive than a 235 as they are not as common a size so for 10mm might not be feasible to even bother from a cost basis.

I agree with 986Jim. I think that the 245 is a good compromise. 255 will most likely rub, since my 235s are really really close. I am lowered also. No doubt that they look sweet though!
