S5 tuning
So has anyone tried the Revo Technik chip and what not for the S5?
I love the car, love the way it looks, but it needs a bit more zip.
600 bucks seems high for 5 horse. even if it's 15 it's still high. Just wondering if anyone has done anything. I mean the V8 is in the older R8's and they crank 420hp. Is the S5's not built as well/same?
Thanks everyone.

does the s5 have a naturally aspirated engine?? if so.. theres only so much they can do as far as getting more out of it.. usually its the turbos that can be pushed farther so to see a dramatic increase in power.. they are usually detuned so to speak.. and i do agree.. 600 bucks for 5 horse is a bad deal.. id put it towards an exhaust which could free up 20 to 30 bhp or so...
The s5 and rs4/R8 motors are completely different, and i believe the s5 and (old b6&b7) S4 motors are different too. Audi has many variations of their 4.2 v8 (think about S4, S5, RS4, A6, S6, A8, R8 etc also...)
The s5 motor is built just as well though, and could be arguable more reliable because it sees less stress. Sadly there is no way to "tune up" your S5 motor to be anything like the RS4 or R8 motor.
The chip will add minimal power, but it is there and throttle response will pick up a bit. Lightweight wheels and rotors and other minor weight reduction would probably make just as much of a difference in all out speed. An exhaust will open things up but again dont expect much, other then sound. The horsepower gain advertised by companies is usually high, and its also crank HP so you can expect ~25% less at the wheels. A chip and exhaust together will definitly make a difference, but because its naturally aspirated so there isnt a huge gain, just a little bit..
to some people its worth it, some people no.
