Hi, I live in the USA. My understanding is that there will be an S6 coming out for 2006. Any information on cost/specifications/release date? Do you think there will be a waiting list like the M6? I can't find any information on it on the web, except for the spy photo in germancarfans. Thanks!

 

Well the s6 should be cheaper than the m6, considering its 100 grand. It is coming out early this year, though production dates will be close to the end of this year or the beginning of next year. My only suggestion is to check the fourtitude.com front paget osee if any new news about it has come out, because they are pretty up to date about it. Also consider what you want in a car, the m6 is a coupe/convertible, and the s6 is a sedan. Right now my parents are going to get an m6 convertible soon, and i do think there will be a waiting list.

haha ok, i think there still will be a waiting list on the m5, your best bet is to go to a dealer asap and jsut get your name on the list, and you can probably cancel it at any time. If you want to get soemhting soon get the m5, but if you can wait, ull have t owait a while for the s6, and even then you may decide to still get the m5. Good luck!

 

It is hard to find info on the S6. Which is weird because it should be out soon. There are links that have picts of B6s with the caption 2006 S6 below them. I don't know who they think they are fooling with that.

I found this site that says that the S6 will have roughly 400hp and the new RS6 will have 500hp stock.

So they are going with a normally aspirated V10? I guess we will know in the next week or so. Maybe APG will get some picts at the LA Auto Show for us if the new stuff makes it there.

That sounds like, at least, a $75-80K car. That could mean that the new RS6 will be bumping $100K.

 

I like the look of the S6 more than the RS6. 80 grand would be a little much though.
