scarry fast
So after having my car for about 5 months now I went ahead and got it chipped, as well as got some Piggie Pipes. It already had an intake on it. Finally it sounds like my car is really breathing, I'm getting great turbo response, and it's freaking fast. I accidentally redlined first gear right after leaving the shop, because i just wasn't expecting it to be that big of a difference. So I love these upgrades and can't wait for it to get warm and the roads to flatten out a little bit, so I can really drive it.
With all that said, I'm getting some misfires and codes, that are telling me that I'm running lean. After searching I see that this is somewhat common. What's my next step? Upgrading sensors? injectors? intake manifold?

Running lean from a chip and the few items you mentioned sounds a bit strange... and running lean is about the quickest way to turn your motor into a huge paper weight.
I would take it REAL easy, and figure out what the problem is ASAP.

running lean can be caused from piggies. It may not actually be running lean (tho it may be), but the sensors could be telling the car it is...run a VAG-com on it, that should tell you better. otherwise, try some CEL-eliminators, or even sometimes somthing as simple as some fuel system cleaner will help that out a little(not fix the problem)
Agreed, use your VAG COM (if you have one
) and read what the O2 sensors are seeing as well as data block 32 to check your fuel trims. You should also be using spacers between the O2 sensors and pipes, or non foulers.
