I have finally decided to sell my 2000 A4 and i believe I found a 2001.5 S4 that im going to by right in my local area with 85,000 miles. Yet the timing belt has not yet been changed for the s4 how much does it cost to change the timing belt and what exactly needs to be done when I do this. Can I do it myself?

 

Come on noobinator, you're giving up on that A4 already! LOL. You can do the timing belt your self as long as you have the special tools, you need the cam lock bar, fan clutch removal tool, cam gear puller, and crank shaft holder, but that one isn't really needed. You should get the water pump, thermostat and tensioners done while you're in there.

 

Haha no not giving up on it that thing runs real nice and is fast as hell but I decided I needed a little upgrade to some more potential and quality.
