You could probably do it for 15 to 20K. The best way would be to buy an older A6 2.7T because they are cheap and do a swap

I think your set then man. If your dad and you can do all the work, you could find an engine on ebay and do all the work yourself. The best would be if you could find a 2.7t that had blown turbos or something along the lines of that, that way you can do the upgrades right away!

Im not trying to kill your thunder or anything but have you looked on the internet for a turbo kit for the v8's? Also have you looked in the engine bay of a b6/b7 s4? First there arent any turbo kits out there, i have never seen one. Second there isnt any room in the engine bay for a turbo. I dont know how they squeezed a v8 into that engine bay in the first place. But yes thats the main reason why he wants to put a 2.7T in the car, because you really cant turbo a 04 and on S4. I may be wrong but i think i remember this being posted a long time ago.

I love that car, I can't wait til my stage 3 is 100% done and I can start looking for a new project. The S8 idea is growing on me, but the a8/supercharged will be alot cheaper all around and probably more fun.
