Default Service at Dealer Last Resort

I have a multi misfire situation on cylinders 4,5 & 6. No matter what I do, it's 4,5 & 6. I've gapped plugs, swapped plugs, swapped coil packs and swapped power output stages (N122, and N192). I've looked for obvious vacuum leaks and checked (visual) the wiring. The only thing I haven't done is swap the ECM.

This problem appeared rather suddenly but is certainly getting worse as time goes on. Clearing the codes won't last long if the engine does much idling (the misfires seem to disappear when the engine is not at idle). I'm running out of ideas and I hate to think about letting the dealer take a shot at it. This 2001 chipped S4 has 115,000 miles and I have done all work since I've owned it, 60, 000 miles ago. If anyone has any thoughts, please chime in.

Frank

check your icm's, as well as your egt's.. if they are glitching then fuel is dumped/timing retarded and misses will develop ...
