I've been interested in getting a short shifter since the stock shifting feels rather big, but i'v heard that they canaffect your tranny and i'm looking to put the least amount of strain on anything in my car for longer mileage purposes. Cannexplain the cons of a short shifter if there are.

 

I have never head of any negative inpacts form a short shifter. It should just shrten and thighten up the throws making it less sloppy. You might also get a slightly notchier feel. Go find someone who has a short shifter int heir car and decide if you like it. Im about to put a JHM solid short throw shifter in my car.

 

I have heard the same thing about negative effects, I think that they are from a user who does not know how to shift. I have a UUC in my B5 and it is awsome.

Yeah jayb has the JHM solid shifter. Haha the videos on the JHM website convinced me

 

I risked it and put in an ebay shifter about 6 months ago - figured if it sucked I'm only out $20 bucks.

Bottom Line - Works great, it really made the care way more fun to drive!
