Once you start, it's very hard to stop! It's like crack with a $25 hooker.
LOL

thank you all for your help. and your advice is surely appriciated.

i am willing to invest a good amount of money into the car. i just purchased it about a month ago and fortunate enough I got a nice promotion at work just a couple of days ago so I will definitly look to add the chip within a month or two after doing more research. definitly thanks for all the info! I will look to follow that step by step process. I guess the only reason I was looking at the air filter is because someone mentioned the K&N filter might be off some benefit...but maybe i'll also add that after a couple of other things like the chip and the exhaust. i've been reading that the two chips to look at are the mtm and the giac. i'm kind of leaning more toward the mtm just because of the posts i've seen on this site and some of the head-to-head comparisons and reviews off of random sites on the net(because i really doubt i'll get to see the results or test them both in person). now the only thing would be to find where they sell the mtm chips for an affordable price.

if you know of any place that's reliable to purchase the chip(s) from, i would really appreciate it if you would post it.

thanks again,

ahhhudi

Honestly youd be happy with both chips.. mtm is smoother, giac is more aggresive in general. My advice would be find the retailer thats closest to you and go with that.. that way you have them available to you at your disposal.. Where do you live?

Chicago, IL. I'm guessing there are plenty of places...just haven't had time to check out many since I moved here not too long ago. Do you know of any in the area that you know for sure?
