The ebay lights are for the pre-facelift A4 they fit fine in the S4. The lights are off like you said. I installed them in my friend's S4. All you have to do is swap two wires on each side. Probe the plug with a test light to find the reverse and signal wires and then take the plug apart, swap the pins and re-install. They do look awesome on a silver/black car. Good luck.
damn devil thats fucked up i never even thought about that..im pissed i already shipped them back for a return but then again i dont know if i like the fact of cutting and snipping wires when i know audi's are sensitive for that **** since i did this i have had the brake light flickering on the bulb light flickering and now they are finally all gone away..dont think ill be touchign the electrical to much anymore ..

lol, you don't even have to cut any wires. Just use a pick to take the wire and pin out of the plug on the car side of the harness and swap the wires and pins and no snipped wires.

or if your good at paint work when you pix the paint up make a portion of the mix clear coat and add in how much darkness you want... then light light light coats of it till you get desired darkness.. wet sand and buff
