something right
There must be something right with my car. I just recently bought my 01 s4 and I assumed she was stock but DAMN she is fast. I was on 76 West just on the streets of Philadelphia messing around with my buddies hooked up EVO VIII (chip, exhaust, intake, DV, Boost Controller*running 23 or so psi) and I was very impressed with how my car was able to keep up with his. As soon as we hit 76 West in Philly we stomped on it. I was easily able to pass him at 100 granted we ran into some traffic and we were just messing around. However I was honestly impressed as to how well a stock s4 could line up with an EVO on a highway. Afterwords we talked about how we ran our cars, he claimed he was shifting at 7500 rpms. I was going from 5th to 6th at only 5000 rpms...
I can't wait for my mods to get installed.
p.s. I am not claiming this as a kill; seeing as we were both messing around...besides on a straight dig I would get rolled on. However I asked if he wanted to go from a dig on West River Dr. but he declined.

Thats cool i just pulled on a evo 9 mr the other nite i thought i was stock besides the exhaust an dvs that came with it. Havent goten around to installing my boost gauge i had a feeling i was chipped but when i hit a 165 i knew for sure.

Chances are you have a chip & other stuff.
The EVO 8 starts to taper off a bit around 100mph. Unless you are in 3rd & run to redline.
The S4 has a good constant pickup over 100mph. I believe much of it has to do the aero package on the
evo it's CD is 38, and I believe the S4 is .33
Stock my EVO pulls like a banshie till about 100, then starts to feel like a Honda. After a few mods it's much
nicer to 100 & over. But still my S4 pulls harder over 100mph.
40-80, the EVO will laugh at you, over 100, the S4
I'm talking slightly modded, not turbo swaps.
My EVO is STG II+ just like my S4, the EVO is slightly faster off line, & to 80, then my S4 starts to pull.
HP wise, they are 265 S4 & 255 EVO @ the wheels.

Ya man his EVO ate me up on the on ramp but I caught up and cruised by around 95ish. I have doubts on my car being chipped. I suppose I'll just have to check out it's top speed for a garuntee = )
