speedline audi wheel caps

A while back I purchased a used 2002 S6 with 6 spoke 18 inch rims.
The dealer from whom I acquired it said they were S8 wheels.
Recently one of the caps came off and I realized that someone
had used velcro to attach the Audi caps on all four wheels.
It appears as if there is supposed to a lip on the wheel into which
the hub caps snap.
The wheels areSpeedline.
Has anyoneencountered this and is there a solution other than velcro ?
