That's very cool that SC kits are coming out for these cars.

I gotta say that the fenders on that Avant in the Fortitude article look like *** though.

 

Its more of a dtm car so dtm styling, but i agree i never cared for that style that much

 

yeah scarzi it's the same supercharger, however EU engines are different than US engines. There has untill now not been a successfull merge.

 

I didn't see any mods to the auto trans on that Avant. I didn't think it could handle that much HP. Have you read anything on that before?

Different enough that this is a 6 month long project.

the s/c is 25k by its self.. I can't imagine final cost.

as for the trans i have no clue, this was just posted on our regional forums on aw yesterday.

I've read an article about a guy modding an RS6 and his trans blew up during the dyno test while the mag writer was there. He had done a chip and exhaust(with high flo cats) and I think was still around 520hp because he hadn't upgraded the turbos. That's not exactly proof of anything, but I have always assumed that the manual trans with upgraded clutch could handle a lot more additional power resulting from mods than an auto trans could.
