i swapped them. So now i'm just waiting on a scanner and see if it moved

Well i didn't swap, i just switched around the connectors..

the brown connectors service 4,5,6 correct?

So once i'm able to check my cel again it will say misfire cyl 1 instead of 4 if the icm is bad

No. It will stay. Icm is tied to 2/4 iirc.

Not sure what i'm supposed to do then..

cleared the CEL yesterday, came back on today with cyl 4 misfire again....


I'm starting to think is a stuck valve or carbon buildup? I'm starting to get pissed

Have you replaced either one? That would be what I think is the issue

No they are too expensive too just assume thats whats causing the misfire lol. Would a vagcom give more information about the miss? I mean the icm's were ziptied to the firewall when i bought the car, because it had the HKS filter on it that was right off the maf...
