yeah you can do that or just get dump pipes with electronic cutoffs, now those are nice. just get a tune for when you use them in your car, or just with 100 oct.

there is ablolutely no reason to run anything bigger than 2.5" pipe.... it will do no good to run anything bigger and it will cost you alot more in labor and parts to go 3".... and a person will not beable to tell the difference between a 2.5 or 3" exhaust

agreed. 4 inch pipes are totally pointless, you're just paying for more material at that point.

On another note, I know there are a few other folks on here that run the SSA DPs, does anyone else have O2 bungs already in their test pipe sections?

ASP downpipes are 3" all the way through. IMO 3" downpipes right to dual 3" electric exhaust cutouts is prime.

alright, the ssa downpipes definitely don't mate up to the cat back. I'll go into more detail later, but for now, does anyone see any problem with driving the car a little bit with just the downpipes installed? I need to at least drive it to exhaust fab house to have them weld in a piece of pipe for me... and I'd like to do a little more driving to see how the new DPs feel your thoughts??

there is no problem driving with the downpipes...it will be pretty damn loud but will sound sick for the short time

Took the S4 out for a spin this morning...and wow, it's loud as hell. Turbos are wicked loud without any cat back. Also accelerates nicely without the pre-cats, power band is much smoother. I recommend for anyone that's sitting the fence
