Default Stage 3 and then add water....

hey guys.. i went stage 3 with RS6 turbos a while ago, and i just got a bigger fuel pump and i have a water methanol kit coming.. so im going to install the kit and run water meth for a few days before i am able to data log it and then have EPL fine tune it.. what should i expect?? id think even by just adding methanol and water im gonna see a dramatic difference.. im guessing 40 whp or so.. does anybody have it down to a science yet and know what numbers im gonna see??

I've heard the same. I bought my car a while ago with a water/meth kit on it, but I've never used it.... for some odd reason, not sure why. But I've seen K04 setups set at 23 psi, which i guess is about 440 hp, just to a bit over 500, so yeah, expect about 40-60 whp increase depending on the tune.

Do you worry about your stock engine? With water/meth and tweaking out RS6's you'll be dancing on the line.

ive been told by a lot of tuners that running water meth will actually be safer than going all out with k04's or rs6's .. the cooler temps with the meth make it safer to run our engines ... so ive heard that 500 whp is close to the edge of what these engines will take, so ill be around 470 or so..

then again.. if it does go.. all the more reason to build a block.. ;-)

just ran 2 quarts of water and meth (washerfluid) and a huge difference, good for another 50-60 hp on top of my 24 psi. it was weird to see my coolant temp slightly below the middle point after beating the crap out of it.

worth the money imo

whats really wierd is do a couple of 60 to 120 pulls and do your best to beat the **** outta your car and then pull it in the garage and put your hands on the intake, bipipe and intake manifold and feel it slightly above body temperature..

hah, i'll try that out next time, granted it's still putting more stress on the engine internals, this stuff is magical

sweet... talked to tony earlier.. he said easily by looking at my logs ill get at least another 40 whp.. at wide open throttle when full boost comes in i was going 9.90 to 1!!!! super rich... and my timing was not retarding any.. so i guess i got a strong engine.(hopefully) with some advanced timing and running a lil leaner, hopefully ill be close to 480 whp or so.. ill let yall know in a day or so.. he said it may take one or two revisions to get it just right after this... so well see..

WOW!!! just got my laptop back from EPL, they sent me a cable which i should be able to download my files from them with, and it worked finally. and OMG!!! this car pulls so much harder now.. and i still have a couple more revisions with them to do!! i swear in 2nd gear all four wanna break loose, in colder temps, i bet it will!! (it was 65 degrees today when i ran it)...i cant wait to get my tranny in and take it back to the track!!
