Sticky situation
Okay so heres my problem, Im now a full time college student and im feeling really pressured to get rid of my S4 for something more "practical". I hate that word but anyways my car just hit 100,000 a few weeks ago and I put 20,000 miles a year on my car. Should I trade the s4 in for something more reliable or "practical" or should i take my chances and keep the s4? Im really torn here and over the weekend I test drove a new a4(which was sweet but not as fast obviously) and some american cars like a 300c which was ******* junk. Ive had my s4 for almost two years with no problems other than the doing the outer tie rod ends. My biggest fear is the turbos going, the engine and transmission are still under warranty til 150,000 miles(aftermarket warranty. What do you guys think?
p.s. my brake pads just wore out, how much are those to replace(I dont have the means to do it myself)?

other than that, dont sell it man. its plenty practical. you can get to school and back in half the time! and think about all that trunk space, you can fit three maybe four bodies in there, thats perfect for your dorm stuff. i know from experience.

...It would be cheaper to take the 25 dollar fine. Lets leave it at that. No but really they get you pretty bad at the dealer. If there is anywhere you can go to do your brakes

they may also have tools you need. otherwise a local hardware store should. it isn't a hard job at all.

Just go to the public safey guy and go... look im on a very tight budget, can u just turn yuor head for an hour and left me do this, please? Some of those rent-a-cops are cool and will, im sure.
if u have an aftermarket warrenty i think you're good for another 20K before they turbo start whining (guess)

how often do they really survey the parking lot..? This is just an idea, but deflat the tire, and then have the spare tire out and around covering up the view or something and pretend that your swapping out a flat tire, they can't bust you for that...

I don't know man. I'm in college too and I have an s4. I tried having my car at school, but it was too much work and too much to worry about. Plus it ends up costing a ton. If you can swing it I would leave it at home and drive it over breaks and stuff. That way, you can keep your sweet car, but wont have to worry about it. If you absolutely need a car, try to buy a cheap beater for like $500 and use it to commute.
